Down came the rain…….

……..in torrents!
We went to visit someone this afternoon who has recently had a spell in hospital and then just over three weeks in a kind of rehabilitation centre, before going home last week.
It’s about a 25 minute drive and both going and returning the weather was doing its utmost best to deluge as much water out of the sky as possible!
It was hardly daylight and car headlights lit up the gloom shining onto wet roads where spray flew up from water which was collecting in pools from time to time and making the gutters like fast flowing streams.
I took the photo just after we’d arrived home at 16:15.
I think it will be snuggle blanket time after tea.
It just makes you feel like hunkering down, especially as it was dark earlier than usual.
The photo is the school opposite, all lit up shining light on to the wet road.
It’s beginning not to feel like Autumn anymore..
The rain is presently pattering on to the window…….
