Weather extremes

Early in the morning we had quite a hail shower and a little heap of the icy balls lay around for much of the day in a shady corner. Between the showers there was some bright sunny intervals one of them with a wonderful double rainbow. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any means of capturing it at the time as I was having coffee with our friends down the hill. It was during another sunny interval that I spotted the brilliant display of golden blossom on the mahonia in one corner of the garden.
