Turkey vultures overhead
As we were sitting in our back yard, a flock of 9 or so turkey vultures circled overhead. Eastern turkey vultures started appearing much more conspicuously in Southern Ontario a few years ago. I guess they have what they need to survive and thrive. I see on their wikipedia listing that we are at the northern edge of their summer range. I'm hoping to get some close-up shots this summer. One of the birds in this photo looks a bit scruffy. I wonder if it's an older bird.
