Starling

There was one starling on the feeder, showing me only its tail end, and this one was on the ground underneath the feeder, picking up the bits that were dropped.  Lots of goldfinches on the other feeders as usual.

Because of the high water table, the liner of the pond lifted and emptied the contents.  I took the chance to clean out the sludge from the bottom while it was easy to reach.  There were five frogs all together lurking in the mud.
