Picture windows

Wore myself out last night (!) so I was glad of a quiet day today. On the way home from a blustery walk I passed this derelict place and found myself wondering what the story is behind the coloured glass window designs. Who was proud of this once attractive house or establishment when its paint was bright and its purpose shiny and new?
