Light and Dark

Light: The fading, twisted beauty of golden greenhouse tulips from our local food co-op brightens the increasingly shorter, dark winter days. So grateful for them, a long-lasting bouquet from Phil.

Dark: The black squirrel in the extra is a handsome variant of the ubiquitous Eastern Gray Squirrel. Apparently these squirrels are commonly found at Western Washington University, just a few miles away from us. This one may decide to stay in our neighborhood, given its enjoyment of the suet and seed blocks in our bird feeder today.
