Christmas postbox topper!

On my trip to the main postbox today I discovered this crocheted topper! Not as elaborate as a knitted one nearer us or the amazingly complicated knitted ones near a friend in Oxshott.
I then cycled to the allotment , being very glad I was not in a car as there were such long queues going in to Kingston. I am puzzled as to why as the work on the bridge parapets which necessitated two lanes of traffic going into one has been finished and both lanes are open?
Also this afternoon there was a lot of traffic in the area prior to the Rugby match at Twickenham England v New Zealand. Last week it was Japan v England and the Japanese team stayed at Lensbury( my health club) where I saw them, ; but the NZ team did not stay there.

At the allotment I did some tidying and collected more artichokes which we will eat tomorrow.

More household chores and time to read the Saturday papers!
