Nothing happens here...

Digitising my memories today

Another dull and occasionally wet day so I've been exploring my old colour slide collections.  That sounds rather grand, even organised but the truth is they're just boxes of dusty old mixed up slides.  The fun is of course, seeing what's inside the boxes!  One of the first colour slides I came across was taken on my first 35mm camera in 1962.  I caught the bus to Croxdale, a village on the A1 road and the London to Edinburgh main line.  I recall it was a quiet Sunday afternoon when I took a few Ilford slide film shots on my new Balda Baldinette 2, 35mm camera, some worked out well - like this of the Durham City boundary and an Austin A40 going North up the A1.  Others didn't turn out so well like the blurred shot of Kings Cross bound Deltic diesel, St. Paddy.  I still have the shot so I've placed it in the extras.

I've scanned and labelled many hundreds of my old shots, the question is now, what to do with the slides?  I haven't the heart to dispose of them, the kids won't want them.  My daughter has hinted she might take them but I think she was just being polite...
