A Spring day...

...of sunshine and showers and just as we sat down to dinner, a sudden and thunderous spell of hail.
We had such a lot of rain yesterday (over 50 mm) that all our roses were drowned and soggily bowing so a summer trim was necessary in order to protect the structure of the bushes. Even that was accomplished dodging in and out of shelter from the rain. Once completed , I eventually made it back to the sewing room and completed 2 further fan units of the floor cushion. 
Dr D came back from the supermarket with some fresh gurnard and I turned it into Poisson Cru which made a delicious dinner.
