Touring the tors of Ben Rinnes

Back blip
The weather forecasr was good, the legs felt good so it was drive a few miles and climb Ben Rinnes, a Corbett (ht 841m). A fairly high starting point and a good track enabled a steady climb to the summt where we had this view to the SE (I think). Then we visited the 2 other rocky tors (actually more impressive than the summit) and returned to the top and back down the path, about 8 miles in all.
It was cold and blowy on top but stayed dry.
The return "home" was over the moors to Speyside, a trip to Knockando Wool Mill, the oldest working mill of its type in the country. It produces cloth from fleece to finish using Victorian machinery, though unfortunately it wasn't actually producing today. There was a very informative film about the whole process and a nice but, not surprisingly, expensive gift shop which was open.
