Skating, Anyone?

The signs of winter's approach are all around the neighbourhood..of course the snowfall the other night, but also entire flocks of birds at the feeders, Christmas lights on houses, seasonal inflatables in front yards, and more and more cars with snow tires on... and then this temporary front-lawn structure which, I assume, will soon enclose a skating rink? 

Best to get prepared..time to get out the bucket of ice melt, the snow shovel and the car's windshield scraper and snow brush! And oh yes, stock up on bird seed!
