Repair job!

A friend asked me if I could repair a hole in a sweater. It was her dad's and she has not wanted to part with it and would now like to wear it. It was a small hole but she said she didn't have the skills to fix it. I took my kit to matting today and did the job for her. It really was a small hole and I made good of another couple of stitches where the wool was very thin and would possibly break soon. Luckily I had some proper sheep's wool in my stash that was the exact same cream colour. She was delighted with the result and I was very pleased to see her smiling. She said she couldn't see the join and I told her that was the idea. Hopefully she will now feel she can wear it. It is a super sweater and holds fond memories for her.
