Back of the bus

It's years since I've sat at the back of the bus, upstairs on a double decker. It has long been the haunt of those listening to music, havin a laff, having a romantic whisper, having a sly fag . I must say the last one no longer occurs. It did for a while after smoking on buses was banned. But no longer as far as I am aware. Changing attitudes!

Today I was returning from a Conference - no taxis these days - and I found I had the upstairs all to myself. So enjoyed a view from the rear, but concluded that I much prefer seeing where I'm going.
