Disused beacon

This disused warning beacon stands at the entrance to, or exit from, the Caledonian Canal at Clachnaharry. I just caught the last of the light on what has been a very dull day.

We were last at Otter Cottage in Clachnaharry in April. We like it here, both the cottage and the general area. Flora rushed to the dog bed provided. I rushed to the kettle.

The weather was pretty awful for the first couple of hours of the journey north. We stopped at Birnam and again in Aviemore where we had a bit of a walk. When we arrived at the cottage I whizzed Flora out for a stroll by the canal but it wasn't very enticing.

The cottage is cosy and we are comfortable. What more could we ask for.
