DOUBLE HOUSES
In the south of Stromness, a little group of six houses, three back-to-back with another three.
The middle one in this shot was featured on Scotland's Home of the Year (BBC Scotland) last year.  It has an impressive view up to the pier-head.  It also has a very secure door bolt - a length of timber that fits right across the door - and a cellar hatch.
