Lupin pool

Finally, some rain today (did I really say that!). The nature calendar is definitely still running behind - April showers in May. There were a couple of nice gentle showers today - just what the flower beds needed. Afterwards, the Lupins had collected these little ponds in their leaves. Other plants like Alchemilla, the Lady's Mantle, also collect droplets of water like this. I think it's a wonderful extra adornment while we are waiting for the flowers to come out.
