Dawyck House
Another fine day between yesterday's rain and tomorrow's forecast of more rain so we took ourselves down to Dawyck so see the end of the autumn colours.
Although we set off and, for most of the drive down, were in sunshine, much of the time in the garden was a little dull, muting the bright shades of gold and copper. It was also very chilly after a sudden drop in temperature, and wet underfoot. Also there was very little evidence of the variety of birds that we know frequent the garden, all of which sounds depressingly negative but this is not new and we were well prepared so enjoyed our visit as always.
