Pendle

Bank Holiday Monday and it's preferable to go inland rather than to the coast when the weather is as sunny as it was today.

A slight hold-up in the motorway traffic heading for Blackpool but we took the exit at Preston and drove out to Pendle...searched for ducks at Downham and searched the churchyard for witches graves! Also had a picnic and ice creams...so although the boys complain each time they go on a car journey, no matter how short (and to think we once did a tour of Europe via car some years back)...they actually enjoyed the day!
