First Snow

It’s official, winter has begun! I know it isn’t December 21, but when snow flies, Autumn is now in the rear view mirror. Only a couple of inches fell before it warmed up and changed to rain. The changeover back to snow will happen after sundown but by then the storm will be on its way out. A bit tame as snowstorms go but perfect for November • I practiced all of the songs I’ve “learned” before starting a new one “The Banks of Ohio”. I didn’t get far. Thankfully no new chords this time but the sequence is different and I’m slow changing between them, not able to keep up with Speedy Bert. Unlike the previous folk songs, it’s a woman this time who kills her male lover on the bank of the river. It’s gruesome but I thought, it’s about time, why is the woman always the victim! I’m beginning to wonder about Bert’s song selections, LoL! • The Elves also made a list and will be doing a bit of shopping tomorrow :) • Peace & Love
