A bit of a nothing day ..

Hung around home this morning .. the doorbell constantly ringing, as was the phone. Whenever the phone rang I'd answer it - and mum would go to answer the door ... but when the doorbell rang she just sat and carried on watching TV!

The foot lady came and dealt with her feet, and I kept a low profile - I can't bear to see it going on!

In the afternoon I slightly reluctantly went to the charity knitting group. Before I came to Hull I Googled to see if I could find a knitting group and this was the only one I found. Nice people, but I hadn't known it was to knit stuff for charity. I'm a relatively new knitter, and selfish enough to want to knit stuff for ME, ME, ME!

I cycled there. I've been going out on my bike (just around the block, to build up a bit of stamina) since Friday - so today was the first day I rode it 'for real'.

After the knitting group finished, I noticed the back tyre was totally flat. Ho hum - I pumped it up and rode it to the nearby cycle shop to get it fixed. I suppose I should learn to do it myself.

I have had no photo opportunities today - and it's been terribly dull. When I threw some left over meals on wheels out for the birds the gulls (predictably) came swooping down for it .. so here's a herring gull making a bit of a recce ..
