Sparrow on Bamboo

I know it's a bit late for #MM460 but I did like this sparrow silhouette, shot this morning in the back garden. I also liked mister blackbird, but overall the mono Tuesday won. I shifted the white balance rather than applied a filter, and the opaque fogginess behind slipped into sepia.

Somehow, I looked up and the daylight had gone. Not that it was very cheery anyway; it's been raining fairly constantly since late last night. But the sudden shift into "late in the day" gets ever earlier.

The central heating did get a bit of a test this morning, but we're still achieving comfort indoors without too much fossil fuel drama. I noted today for anyone with the cleverer smart meters, National Grid declared the first energy constraint for November 15th between five and six pm...
