Rab Noakes

I was jolted the other day by news of the death of Rab Noakes. It was so unexpected, and I thought undeserved. I first saw Rab perform in St Andrews in the early 70s. Then I caught him in more recent years at Eden Court in Inverness. I've never seen anyone wear a smile as well as Rab could. I believe he's the only outside-the-band composer to be credited with two tracks on Lindisfarne albums. He got on well with Alan Hull and also with Barbara Dixon. Here he is singing Clear Day. It's gorgeous.
