The Birds Is Coming

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

These little beggars have been making SUCH a pest of themselves lately. What happens is this - the boys ask to go out and so we leave the door open for them, and the next thing you know, there's a blackbird in the middle of the lounge looking confused.

I mean, sometimes - probably 9 times out of 10 - they manage to steal a cat biscuit or two and then get back out with no bother. You can tell this is happening because you just hear the "clink-clink" noise of a beak against the metal biscuit bowl. Then a "BOOP BOOP" of the blackbird telling its mates all about it.

But sometimes the BOOP is a BOOP of alarm! As the dumb@rse blackbird attempts to fly through a window only to realise it's SOME SORT OF FORCE-FIELD!!!

And then the bird sh*ts everywhere and I have to deploy a tea-towel to get hold of the bird and direct it out the door.

We have taken to putting cat biscuits outside especially for the birds. But no, they still know there's food in here too.

So now I'm keeping the door closed a lot more. If the boys go outside, they just have to ask to be let back in.

Don't get me wrong. I love our feathery friends. They are lovely to watch. But BOOP BOOP POOP. EVERYWHERE. It's no fun.

The blackbirds have not taken it well. They have been landing directly in front of our windows and STARE at us. This little guy was definitely angling for something.

But no. It's not going to happen. They can BOOP off.

S.
