Note to self: you're probably a tiny bit too friendly with computers when a problem arises and it seems like a good idea to crack open the chassis and try to fix it yourself.

On the plus side, my webcam works again!

Now if I can just bump up my internet speed in Windows 7 and solve the native brightness issues in Linux Mint, maybe I'll finally be able to take over the world...
