The Slow Road to Halfax

I had an appointment at 9.30 in Halifax this morning.  Not a good time to be travelling but today Yorkshire Water, Northern PowerGrid and Northern Gas Network all joined forces to make the journey a special one.  They set up  roadworks all within a distance of one mile and all traffic light controlled.  That mile took 45 minutes!!!
To return to Maison MD I decided to come over the moors to avoid these delights..  Wrong.  Very dense fog making for another slow journey.
Too early for a glass of restorative - I had a mug of tea which was very satisfying.
