Allegiance

I have shopped at Tesco's for many years. I suppose it's simply because it has been the nearest store to wherever we've lived. Our son now works there part-time, he's on Customer Services so meets a wide range of basically disgruntled people!! Today it was as if the locusts had been! The weather forcast is set fair and I think the whole world is having a barbecue this weekend (including us!) Not a beefburger or any form of lettuce to be had by 5 o'clock!!!

You may have seen our local branch of Tesco's on the National news a few days ago. A man who was clearly drunk was refused alcohol at the checkout, so he got in his Rolls Royce and rammed it through the window knocking 2 checkouts way down an aisle! Not satisfied with his first attempt he reversed and had a second go!! Amazingly there were no operators on those immediate checkouts or they would have been killed. As it was 6 members of the public were taken to the local hospital with cuts and bruises. We were greatly relieved that our son was not working that night and that his friend was 2 checkouts away from the action! The man has been charged with attempted murder! Alcohol has a lot to answer for!
