When I took Basil and Polly to the groomer's this morning I saw, not for the first time, a massive Friesian dairy herd so on the way back to collect the dogs at lunchtime I stopped to say hello to the cows. This was the friendliest one and a few of her friends came over to check me out. I fired off a few shots with my camera and became quite absorbed in them, observing their behaviour and how they reacted to things I did, and when I finally looked up pretty much the whole herd had congregated behind this one. It was a little scary so I made my excuses and left. On the way back from collecting the dogs I noticed that the whole herd was still standing where I'd left them. I may have confused them...
