A foggy day in the countryside

Yesterday l went with the birdie group up to Rutland Water Nature Reserve.   It was very misty when we left but were confident it would lift as the day passed - it didn't!  All day the mist came and went and swirled around.  There is great anxiety at present in the bird world over the avian flu which is killing many many birds on the European mainland and in this country.  The Government has ordered all domestic birds to be kept indoors  and many poultry farmers have had to destroy their flocks.
