Who needs a fairy

Sewing today included an opportunity to make a fairy. I signed up, but chickened out during the session. The lady dished out the basic items required, we took our own material and trimmings, then she went down the line repeating the instructions to the five ladies, I was on the end. She had forgotten to bring along an example fairy, so we were left making something that we hadn’t seen. 

I felt that it was a waste of time, so gave up and spent my time helping out three ladies, one with the fitting of a pinafore, one fussy cutting some weird material for a man’s shirt and the last one trying to interpret a pattern for a briefcase / laptop bag. Much more interesting. 

Home after 3pm followed by the arrival of S who was planning to do some household repairs for us. We had arranged to collect a Chinese takeaway at 6, having completed the chores. They took longer than expected so we had a break for dinner,  then continued working until 9pm.

S took Olive home, I think that she has enjoyed her stay. She is such a chilled out lady !!
