Beach Barbeque

Today's the day ......................... of two halves

Serious stuff this morning when we went to a short Remembrance Ceremony in the small village of Ringford (see extra).  The piper played a lament, some moving words were said, two minutes of silence were observed  and a couple of poppy wreaths were laid at the base of the War Memorial.

Later on in the afternoon, we were invited to a beach barbeque by some friends who rent a small piece of land right on the shore of Kirkcudbright Bay.  There was lots to eat and drink, new people to meet, an incredible sunset (see extra) and a display of fireworks.

A very enjoyable day ...............................
