Well, last year i pretty much just abandoned Blip. as much as i loved the idea i wasn't in a state to be able to keep up with posting constantly, i can't say i am at the moment either, but here i am, and i'm going to try.

Today was a 'meh' kinda day,
I woke up late, rushed to get ready and get into the city to meet this guy that was buying the camera lens that i was selling, i got to the train station, got my ticket and sat down and waited as normal to get the next train, it was going to take another 25 mins to get there. As i sat there, i overheard a cute guy around my age talking to someone on the phone wondering when the next train would get there and complaining about the lack of signage to say when it would get there, i looked over to him and said it was about 20 mins away, he said 'Thanks'. I kept listening to his conversation as he paced up and down the platform, i could vaguely hear him saying something about wanting to hook up with this guy, as he got more into the conversation i realised he was talking about me!
He eventually came over to me and asked for my number, i said 'oh, well. i don't really give my number out to anyone'... he then goes 'well, you're talking to someone on the phone at the moment, they have your number!', 'well yes, they do, but that person just so happens to be my boyfriend', 'oh'.

So that was the end of that, and he didn't speak to me after that, i got on the train and that was that. I eventually arrived at South Bank station and walked over to the Merlo café where i was meeting the guy buying the lens, he just quickly looked over the lens to make sure it is what it is and handed me the money and went on his way with his new toy, and myself $275 richer.

After that i went and got a Earl Grey tea and went off to the Student services building at the TAFE. Today was the day that i withdraw from my TAFE course, i would go into reasons why, but that's a story for another day. As it turns out the woman i needed to talk to wasn't even there so i now have to call her and organise it over the phone.
I was annoyed that i couldn't have just done it there and then, but i guess it'll be better over the phone as i don't need to actually speak to someone about it face to face.

From the TAFE i then made my way over to CameraPro to go get my new lens. A Nikkor 35mm F/1.8. I got there told the woman what i was after and as it turns out they didn't have it in stock. damnit. I was going to leave a deposit and order it in, as i like getting my camera gear from here and nowhere else, but i was feeling impatient today and thought, f*** it, i'll just go to CameraHouse and get it. 5 minute walk down the road and another 5 mins in the CameraHouse store and out i walk with my new lens, and $248 lighter.

The rest of the day has been a bit of a blur.. a long train ride home, and a trip in the car from the train station back to home and here i am now typing this out. hopefully i can put this much effort into future Blips as i have this one...
