Apple of Peru(ish)

This has appeared in a customer's garden this year, different plants growing close together, I can only think that seed from a bird feeder sited close by some years ago was caused to germinated due to the intense summer.

I'm going to send the photos to an ecologist I met recently because it is quite different to what I know as Apple of Peru. 

After work RF and I spent a nice evening together cooking and eating and watching then Prince Charles on the Repair Workshop, a brilliant episode!
