Autumnal

They've been resurfacing the pavements down our lane.  No idea why because they were in reasonable condition and they won't last very long while there's no weight limit on large vehicles on the road which don't fit without driving on the pavement...

Anyway, it's not been much of a problem so far (apart from careless ASDA drivers - something we are STILL waiting a resolution for).

However, on the day we have electrician coming; laundry exchange; crockery deliveries, and we are hosting the local Annual Silent Cobweb-Spotting Competition*, they start to do the bit outside our entrance...

I'm standing down the road with the laundry, waiting to intercept the van so that's at least one vehicle that doesn't have to navigate the blockage.
