Day out Walking with Friends

We set off for Dalkeith Country Park today and had a lovely time.  The weather was great, the autumn colours were still spectacular and it was great to see everyone.  
The estate has a recognised woodland of very old Oak trees, which was marked as one of The Queens Platinum Jubilee Woodlands this year.  You can see them clearly in the photos.  The house dates from 1711 and is modelled on a Dutch building from this time.  
Off to see my sister tonight.
