Long day again.
Well Spiderman is long gone now so I've got to finish this project on my own which is not what I had planned, especially since I have two other properties to get finished. Even more annoying is an event next week (I leave this Friday) so I lose another week. With any luck though we'll have all three rented by the end of the month. Maybe. But Manchester should be done at least.
The future is again on my mind. I have my 40th birthday next week, once these 3 properties are turned it leaves 4 properties left to do, and then the question mark of what happens next. Money won't be a problem but sitting in a chair doing nothing getting fat does pose a problem.
I have 3 options available to me at that point, photography (or wedding photography more specifically), maybe back into IT - really fancy breaking computers for parts wholesale, or maybe home inspection.
Photography is difficult because unless you are super busy then you just don't make much money. And if you are super busy, then your weekends are shot. IT would be interesting. Home inspection could be bread and butter stuff though - I do like poking round old houses - and it pays well - if you could get a full book (and some inspectors do have full books) then you really are looking at $200kpa. Talking to our realtor and we have an in there plus an in with one of the biggest realtor firms in the town.
So with that in mind I started down the road today and started to get my "high school diploma" sorted out. Essentially I have to retake my GCSEs. Phoned the local college, got spoken down to like I'm an idiot and I'll be on an induction course week after next. Problem with adult education and doing your High School Diploma is that it's a course for the "failed". I'll be associating with idiots who couldn't make it in school.
And the voice of the guy at the local college left nothing to the imagination. He talks to idiots all day long. I was just another idiot; "you're learning to drive. that's great". Oh do sod off.
I laughed and smiled. "That's nice" ;)
