Better than ever

Cathleen's birthday  today,  which we celebrated with dinner at Inver. 

It was , if anything, better than ever.   We choose the tasting menu, for the first time in ages, and the variety and inventiveness matched the taste and quality of the ingredients and their presentation.   There are a few samples as my extra photos. 

Unusually for this year it wasn't raining when we left and the moon was bright.  It was also incredibly mild for a November evening , after what was officially the warmest November day on record.   Not something to be pleased about though.....
