Endangered view

This is a glimpse down my street looking east. The deciduous trees aren't quite fully in leaf, but even still you can see the trees.

Alas, the zoning by-law arrived in the mail yesterday approving the developer's application to cut down 106 trees and put a hideous 58-unit townhouse (including yardless "back-to-back townhouses") where there are currently 8 modest homes. We lost the first round at City Hall, and now need to take the matter to the Ontario Municipal Board or most of this will be gone.

Sigh. Just in case, I'll take a few pictures before it is all gone.
