Dressing Up
It is our streets annual dinner to raise funds for the local Hospice. This is the 21st dinner. It didn't happen during the last two years because of Covid. The memo said dress formal. The forester went to the back of his wardrobe and dragged his black wedding / funeral shoes to find they are falling apart. Further back were brown leather shoes bought in 1973. They are now too narrow for his feet. The jacket from the 90's is okay. Those shoes are now in the rubbish. I made the button hole from an Albertine bud. There was lovely soaking rain for the garden all last night.
