Day break

Alarm call this morning was 4.00 though I was up for a shower at 3.39! Left the hotel a pt 4.55 to drive to Ben Gurion airport. The moon was brightly shining as we left and day broke as we neared the airport. Strict security and then waiting for the flight at 09.05. El Al is a good airline. We had breakfast served and this time I watched Downton Abbey a new era and Babe which is always a feel good experience.

I was last but one off the flight and still had to wait for luggage but from then on everything went really smoothly. Got the Elizabeth Line to Paddington and got there with 8 minutes to get the train to Plymouth. Got back in time to get to choir practice before being given a lift home by a fellow choir member. We have started Christmas music and it seems strange that I was in the Holy Land just that morning.

It is an extraordinary country and I would definitely like to return one day in the not too distant future! Sleep now!
