Early morning start

Now that the clocks have gone back, it's bright earlier in the morning. The skies in the east were brightening as I went to get the 6.20am train at Westcombe Park station, on my way to a conference in Coventry.

I enjoyed the trip, for the most part (good to meet up with some long-standing industry friends). However, it was bucketing down when I left the university venue and I got soaked in the 10 minutes it took me to walk to the station. Then, due an earlier cancellation, I had to stand for part of the journey back - thankfully getting a seat once somebody got off at Rugby.

Got back to London and headed to north Greenwich for a family meal at Wagamama's - our last before Orla goes to South America tomorrow.

Torrential rain also stopped me running yesterday and tomorrow looks doubtful too. My ankle seems to have held up OK after Sunday's long run, so maybe I will get out at the weekend....
