Guess whose these are?!
Having had Catholicism drummed into me from birth, I seem to remember JC being a fisher of men, rather than crabs and lobsters . . . . !
Our wedding anniversary today, so we spent it doing a bit of a tour about the place, in the new car, with Ollie, obviously. We headed west and the mist and low cloud hung over the hills. By lunchtime the sun came out and it was beautiful. We went to have another look at Betty's Reading Room and take back the books I borrowed on my last visit, and borrowed some more. It is down by the Tingwall ferry terminal where you catch the boat for Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre. It's a busy little harbour used by lots of creel fisherman, and each of them has their initials on their keep boxes!
Came across another blipper on our travels. Nice to see her, both of us miles from home! Mike joked that we were heading to the hardwear/tool hire shop on the industrial estate to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Perhaps unsurprisingly we did end up there - but we came away with a super lightweight strimmer, rather than the hoped for boat winch!
The day has ended with whisky and well matured fruit cake. It's been a lovely day.
