Hold Music
Today has been long and tiring once more. I have spent a good couple of hours on hold to various places, including the Council. Call centres are the worst thing ever invented!
Actually, no. Not the worst - the choice of “on hold” music is pitiful! There must be some well informed, efficient members of staff that work at my local Council but sadly I have yet to encounter them.
I guess they must be very worn down by the last couple of years so I remain as patient as I can with them. I’ve worked for the Council myself many times in the past in various roles so I can see things from both sides of the desk.
Tomorrow, I have more of the same to do but hopefully I will end Friday in possession of the basic information and I require about my own life!
I’m on Day 74 of my German revision lessons on Duolingo and they are helping to preserve my sanity! I’ve had some news about the poetry competition I entered which I will share with you soon as I don’t have time this afternoon.
I need to get some housework done now. I’m so exhausted but I know I will feel better for having things to tidied up.
Today’s Blip is of a coconut loaf (yet to be tasted!) and the extras are another photo of the loaf and a poem about the omnipresence of Matt Hancock which I read online today. It really makes me laugh and I hope it does you too!
The loaf is less crumbly than the orange and raisin one so hopefully it will be easier to slice later.
I’m going to relax tonight and binge watch episodes of Two Doors Down, it always has me in stitches. If you have never watched it, I highly recommend it. It’s a comedy about a street of neighbours and is set in Scotland. Not sure if it’s only available in Scotland or not.
I hope you have all had a wonderful Thursday. Thank you so much for all you comments, follows and stars and for the heart.
I’m very happy that so many of you enjoy the honesty and openness of my journal entries, that was one of my key goals when I starting Blipping, it is such a positive, warm online community :) xx
