Spring in the city

It has been the first really spring like day I have experienced in Edinburgh this year.

The livid green of new growth is suddenly appearing on the trees and bushes , obscuring buildings that have been starkly visible for months.

This tree is in the close between Royal Mile Primary School and the Parliament.
