Tarka trail - 2

Weather forecast was pretty grim for today but we hopped on the bikes anyway. This time we went north on the Tarka Trail to Biddeford and Barnstaple. Lovely cycle along the estuary- and dodged the rain until the very last 20 mins when we got a good soaking.
This is an excellent cycle path made along what was a railway line, so various ex-stations along the route, and lots of interesting history of what was once a major port area.
It’s also the scene of the story of Tarka the Otter - no otters spotted.
