Buds

There is one bud on the cactus in the kitchen, which reminded me that there are cactus cuttings upstairs in the spare bedroom.  Here are some of them showing lots of buds.

Amusing experience today. The emergency generator at work needs a new battery, so I went to Halford's to get one. But the Halford's cash register computer system had crashed, so they couldn't make any sales.  I then went to a tyre and battery chain place, and asked if they could sell me a battery.  They asked for my car registration, and that seemed to be the only way in which they could identify a battery. After that I gave up - surely the Halford's computers will be running again tomorrow!
