Valley bottom

I've been exceptionally indecisive this evening. Today's afternoon sun gave wonderfully saturated colours and deep shadows, and I've struggled to make them work in monochrome for today's Wide Wednesday challenge, tempted to give up and share the colours instead. This is the bottom of the valley, with water flowing in the Nailbourne after several days of significant rain. I quite like the misty layers of distant trees and the light on the wet grass. The extra shows the road home and some of the colours from the last stretch of my walk.

Other good things today were P's delicious savoury scones which J and I ate with goats' cheese, coffee on the balcony dreaming over a textile art book, and P's shortbread with my tea after my walk. We also learned a few days ago that J's animation Unbound has won an award in the Hungarian Disability Film Festival, so this afternoon we watched the awards ceremony on YouTube and heard her ten seconds of fame.
