Daedalus' Warning

A sole bird, maybe a gull, flying towards the light, made me think of Icarus.

Not being a classics student I had to look it up: Daedalus, his father, warned Icarus not to fly to close to the sun for fear of melting his wings, which of course he duly did.

Loved the colour of the sky, the dark shadows and silhouette of the trees. For once, I left the shadows without detail, preferring instead to portray the mood. Perhaps a little poetic license in that regard.
