... viewed from our back steps at 4 pm this afternoon.  Another gloriously clear fall day.   Our Hampshire Bird Club  met this evening;  the presentation was by our friend David Spector on the history of birding in western Massachusetts--a bit dry, but interesting as his talks always are.  I've marked the map for the church where we met.
