Paperwhites

My September bulb basket consisted of one peppermint amaryllis and some paperwhites. On Friday, with the amaryllis having bloomed and long faded, and the paperwhites been nice tall green stems for almost 2 months, I decided they were duds and put the basket outside.

In today’s gorgeous 80° weather, with summer like sunshine, outside my back door I find the paperwhites have bloomed!

I spent hours watching the Sulphur Butterflies, drinking from the Mandevilla, Canna Lily & Confederate Rose and I watched the honey bees buzzy in the African Blue Basil

When Kent got home we headed to the church so he could practice on the organ and I could move sheet music. Oh Holy Night is now stuck in my brain and what I hum all the time.
