Weather nerd

Every year during a particularly rainy spell (normally when we've had to light the fire or put the heating on in August), I whinge about what a rubbish summer it has been.

Well this year I am keeping track of the number of sunny days between May and September (weather nerd that's me). That way at least I can't complain later in the year. So far we've had three up here in Manchester. Three glorious sunny days. Oh how I do love sunshine.

Had to work today unfortunately but managed to sit outside with my laptop in Didsbury for some of it. Got a remarkable amount done too.

My sister told me about flow recently. It is when you are absorbed in a task and very efficient apparently. Ever since I had Audrey I have experienced good work flow when I work. I have so little time to work these that when I do, I'm much more efficient. Today was one of those days.

My sister popped over early evening after a long hen weekend in Portugal. She was still in holiday mode and whilst looking after Audrey in the garden for me, she attempted to carry on reading her Kindle (which lasted all of the two minutes I took this photo). Babies and reading aren't conducive. Audrey was soon on the move again...keeping her Auntie on her toes..
